A.F. Evans Company, Incorporated – a diversified real estate developer, property owner and property manager with several hundred employees in California and Washington State. Efren Gutierrez – architect. Mr. Gutierrez first came to Mr. Knox for assistance in a partnership dissolution, which was litigated through trial and a verdict in favor of Mr. Gutierrez. Mr. Knox subsequently represented Mr. Gutierrez in litigation arising out of multi-million dollar architectural work done for a school district, which accused Mr. Gutierrez of causing the district to lose state funding for the projects and refused to pay Mr. Gutierrez’s fees. Mr. Knox filed a lawsuit which resulted in a complete defense of the district’s claims and the payment of over $700,000 in fees to Mr. Gutierrez.
Val 17th Street, LLC – the owner of a condominium project in San Francisco. Mr. Knox obtained a settlement for Val 17th Street in litigation arising out of a fire caused by a defective product installed in the project, and subsequently defended Val 17th Street in litigation brought by the homeowners association regarding alleged construction defects.
